    Jessica Brown:
Native to The Thousand Islands area in Upstate NY, Jessica moved to Syracuse in 2008 to attend Onondaga Community College as a vocal major. There she joined a jazz improv class and also began singing with a funk hip hop band. Growing up in church and singing in front of many people at an early age prepared her for being on stage. She always had a passion for music and singing. Constantly inspired by many different genres of music, from gospel to folk, reggae to hip hop, funk to soul, jazz and blues, grunge to afro beat. She believes it is crucial to have a broad range of influence as an artist. Her songwriting style is based on personal life experiences, social and political movements and spiritual themes. Music has always been a source of therapy through tragic and happy times. She is honest with her lyrics, emotional through her singing and hopeful with her message. She is currently the lead singer for Syracuse based reggae soul band Root Shock with whom she’s released a debut album and tours the North East. They are currently in the studio for their next release and are making plans to continue to spread their music and message to an even wider audience. Her greatest desire is to leave the audience feeling inspired, connected and hopeful.  For addition information visit: rootshockmusic.com
    Ryan Burdick:
Ryan Burdick is a lifelong musician whose focus spans genres, but remains fixed on meaningful lyricism with earnest, universal themes. Burdick’s roots are rural, performing as a child with his father (also a singer/songwriter) in small towns along the source of the Genesee River in the Southern Tier of Western New York. He has carved his reputation in Central New York performing solo since 2005 throughout the region. Ryan is perhaps best known, however as vocalist, guitarist, and percussionist for the Ruddy Well Band. The group has had many notable performances across the state, has produced three albums, and won two Syracuse Area Music Awards in 2013 for Best Americana Album, and People’s Choice Award.  For additional information visit:  ruddywellband.com
